I am the kind of dad that goes to every one of my son, Finn's, practices. He loves it when I go.
Since I’m always there, most of the parents know that they can count on me to give their kids a ride back home.
Most of the parents have multiple kids and many times will have other children in other activities and will ask if I could help out with pickup. I am always happy to help.
The other day I received a message from 2 different parents to pick up their boys. I was happy to help out.
Now remember these boys are 12 years old and in full puberty. After practice, 3 boys got into my car, and it was as if 3 goats got into the car.
The smell was horrendous. It smelled like arm pit and bad feet. My stomach began to turn, and my mouth began to water as if I was going to vomit.
The funny thing is that the boys smelled nothing. They did not smell any bad odors. When I told them that they smelled terribly, their replied was a question, “We do????”
It took a full day for the smell to completely leave my car.
I have heard about 12-year-old boys, the puberty in full throttle smell, but I have not yet smelled that, like I did last week.
Until we experience things, we can’t fully imagine it. And teeth are no different.
You can’t really imagine how a drastic cosmetic change will look until you see it on you. It is difficult to imagine.

How it works is when you want to make certain changes to your smile, we talk about the changes you want to see. It doesn’t matter if it’s whiter, straighter, longer, or bigger.
Then we will create a plastic prototype model that slides over your existing teeth.
This gives you a visual of what the changes will look like on your teeth and in your smile. It will give you the ability to decide if the changes look good.
Almost 100 percent of the time, they will see the changes in their face and love the changes. If not, we will make the necessary adjustments and try again.
This will give them the confidence to move forward with their treatment.
